She departed this life on November 27, 2022 at the age of 88 years,11 months and 20 days at the Piggott Community Hospital. Nellie married Henry Lee Broglin on October 9,1953 in Holcomb, Missouri. She is survived by her husband of 69 years: 3 daughters: Debra (Michael) Puckett of Malden, MO., Gayla (Jim) Lincoln of Cape Girardeau, MO., Penny Broglin of Kennett, MO., 2 sons: Danny (Tracy) Broglin of Frisbee, MO. and Lanny (Tina) Broglin of Holcomb, MO. one brother-in-law: Bill Bailey of Searcy,AR; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; other dear relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters; Velma Potter, Louise Bonfouy, Rita Bailey, Betty Mansfield and Imogene Elder; and one brother: Wincil Beggs. Nellie lived her entire life in the White Oak Community. Her and husband, Henry grew up as children together, went to school and church together, married, farmed, raised a family, and lived a full life all within a few miles of where they were born. During their high school years at Holcomb, Nellie and her sisters (Beggs girls) were champion girls basketball players. She was a hard-working farmer’s wife, stay-at-home mom, great cook and housekeeper. Nellie worked side by side for 69 years with Henry doing whatever he needed her to do to make the crops productive besides taking care of 5 children, keeping a clean house and preparing 3 meals a day. As a mother, she sacrificed to provide a loving home to care for, train up and guide her children into becoming responsible adults who served God and others. Sundays were special as she got up early & prepared most of her usual Sunday chicken dinner with all the trimmings and banana pudding for dessert before getting the family ready for Church. She loved gardening, especially flowers. After her children were grown she became a licensed Emergency Medical Technician, worked at a garden center and drove a school bus for Holcomb Schools. She was a member of the Varner River Missionary Baptist Church, where she spent countless hours volunteering, cleaning and cooking, which was her passion. She loved to cook for family, friends and her church family. It was her gifting. The more people ate, the more she enjoyed cooking. She put her whole heart into everything she did and did things “her” way and she expected everyone around her to do the same. Nellie loved God, Henry, her children, grandchildren and all her family and friends with all her heart. She will be missed more than she will ever know by all of them.
