Obituary Nazario S. Contreras, 65, of New Milford, New Jersey joined our Creator on October 31, 2022. “Zarry” was born July 28, 1957 in Bauan, Batangas, Philippines to Carponio and Pasencia Contreras. He attended High School at Bauan High School and continued his education at Philippine Maritime Institute in 1972, graduating with Associate Degree in Maritime Education. What Zarry enjoyed the most other than spending time with family and friends was MUSIC. Music held a great role in his life. He’s been singing at an early age, frequently participating and winning numerous amateur Singing Competitions. He was a member of his family-owned Marching Band performing in many local Town Fiestas. He was also an active member of Ascension Church Choir. Born a true Entertainer and a Stand-Up Comedian along with a gift of singing, Zarry was always the life of the party. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Gloria C. Contreras and daughter Carla C. Contreras, siblings and their spouses, several cousins, nephews and nieces. You may pay him your last respect at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Rd in New Milford on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at 1 pm to 5 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 5th, 10 am at the Church of the Ascension, 256 Azalea Dr, New Milford. Zarry will be buried in the Philippines.
