Mitchell F. Rohrbach, age 70, of Hellam, died peacefully at home on Friday, October 14, 2022. Born in York on June 16, 1952, he was the son of the late Howard Rohrbach and the late Helen (Clinton) Rohrbach. He was the loving husband of 47 years of Julie (Fulton) Rohrbach. Mitch was a 1970 graduate of York Vo Tech. Following graduation, he served in the US Air Force. He retired from the US Department of Defense, where he worked in quality assurance for many years. Mitch was a bigtime Atlanta Braves baseball fan and was also a York Revolution season ticket holder. He was a member of the “Wing Dingers” radio-controlled airplane club. He loved nature and taking care of animals, especially his cats. His love of nature led Mitch to his greatest pastime, camping. He and Julie loved to load up the camper and head out on adventures. They particularly loved to camp at Gifford Pinchot State Park. He loved to ride his bike, or more recently his golf cart around on the park trails. He loved kayaking on the lake at Pinchot, and even built his own kayak. He will be missed by many in the Pinchot camping community. In addition to his loving wife Julie, Mitch is survived by his daughter Lori Vazquez, and her husband Jimmy of York, his grandchildren Sabrina and Miranda Evans, and his great grandchildren Harmoney Ramos, Harlee Ramos, and Zayne Abdulwali. He is also survived by his sister Jennifer L. French of Hellam and his brother Marty Rohrbach, and his companion Bernice Shaw of Columbia. He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Rohrbach. It was Mitch’s request that there be no formal funeral service.
