Mullis – Michael William Mullis, age 73, of Atlantic Beach, Florida passed away on March 1, 2022, at Memorial Hospital. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on January 6, 1949, to the late Lester Mullis and Gladys Byrd Mullis. Michael resided in Atlantic Beach the majority of his life. After attended Atlantic Beach Fletcher Middle and High School, Michael worked for a season as a Shrimper. He had a passion for being outdoors and especially loved the water. In his late 20’s, he started his longtime career in the landscaping industry. He enjoyed maintaining and manicuring lawns and was able to help many people throughout the years with their yard needs. Michael also enjoyed his time in Madison, Florida living on a ranch in a cow pasture where he was able to visit the swans, cows, and horses. When not working, he could be found watching Nasar racing and boating. Michael was a simple man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, John Parrish. Michael is survived by his sister, Nancy Parrish of Atlantic Beach, Florida; nephews, Matthew (Brooke) Fernandez, Johnny Parrish, Jeff Parrish; nieces, Beth (Kenny) Lancaster, Michelle Fernandez, along with many great nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Beaches Memorial Park Parlor with Pastor Ron Strong and Pastor Kelly Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Beaches Memorial Park. Family will receive friends on one hour prior to the service. The arrangements are under the care and direction of V.
