View Tribute Book Melanie Ann Rose, 50, of Fairmont, passed away on Friday, November 11 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born December 29, 1971, in Morgantown, a daughter of Bill and Karen (Campbell) Rose. Melanie graduated from University High School, Class of 1991. She loved WVU Sports and Steelers football and could tell you the score of last year’s games. Melanie is survived by her life partner, Ken Cummings; sisters Amy Scott (Matt) of Morgantown and Kristen Perrott (Geoff) of Ashburn, VA; grandfather Stan Campbell of Duck, WV; niece Lauren Scott; nephews Justin Scott, Bennett Perrott, Zachary Perrott; as well as her parents. The family would like to give a special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff of WVU Medicine for their kindness and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, family suggests helping end child hunger in Monongalia County by contributions to The Pantry Plus More, 9 Rousch Drive, Morgantown, WV 26501.
