Obituary of Mary M. Lemire Mary Margaret McCarthy Lemire, 95, of Manchester, CT, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 23rd, 2022. Mary was born in Hartford, CT on June 29th, 1927. She graduated from Hartford High School. Mary was married to the late Roger Lemire on June 18th, 1949; they were married for a wonderful 60 years. She worked as a Purchasing Department Secretary for Connecticut Mutual for 25 years. She loved her close family immensely and wanted to spend as much time with them as possible. Mary was a devout Catholic and a communicant of Assumption Church. She also volunteered for many years at Manchester Manor. Mary is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Brian and Linda Lemire of Bolton CT and Gary and Joyce Lemire of Eastham MA; and her grandchildren Alexa, Garrett and his wife Jessica and Matthew. Mary’s family wishes to thank the entire staff of Manchester Manor, especially the staff members of the East Wing for their caring, love, and support of Mary as well as her husband Roger. Calling hours for friends and family will be held Saturday, December 3rd at John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester from 9-10am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Assumption at 10:30am with burial in St. Bridget Cemetery immediately after Mass.
