Obituary Mary Lynn (O’Bryan) Adams, 76, of Evansville, Indiana, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 at Newburgh Health Care. Mary Lynn was born in Evansville, Indiana on February 1, 1946 to the late Leonard A. and Bertha E. (Erbacher) O’Bryan. She attended grade school at Saint Francis Xavier in Posevyille and was a 1963 graduate of Rex Mundi. Mary Lynn went on to attend college at St. Benedicts in Ferdinand and earned her masters degree in education from Indiana University. She was an elementary teacher for the public school system in Indianapolis for 40 years. Mary Lynn married Leroy Adams on July 16, 1999 in Plainfield, Indiana. She taught and had an everlasting love for art. Mary Lynn enjoyed playing cards with her family and trivia nights with her teacher friends. She was an avid reader and loved fashion. Mary Lynn enjoyed going out to eat and trying new foods. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. Mary is survived by her sister, Becky Nellis (John W.); brother, Pat O’Bryan (Kim); nieces, Shae Kokomoor (David), Ashley Robertson (Dan), and Jill Nellis (fiancé, Will O’Connor); nephew, Cale O’Bryan; great-niece, Kyleigh; great-nephew, Sawyer; and great-great niece, Aspyn. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 13 years in 2012, Leroy Adams; her parents; and brother, Leonard Michael O’Bryan. A celebration of Mary Lynn’s life will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711, with Father Joseph Erbacher officiating. Mary Lynn will be buried next to her husband at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, IN at a later date. Friends may visit from 1:00 pm until service time on Thursday at Browning Funeral Home.
