Mary Louise’s Obituary Big Rapids – Mary Louise Leach, 81, of Big Rapids, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital. She was born November 18, 1940, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of George and Lelia Elizabeth (Spoor) Foster. At the age of 5 Mary Louise was adopted by Harold Sauer. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1958, and was an alumnus of Ferris State University. Mary Louise worked for two newspapers, was secretary, bookkeeper, and later worked as a florist. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Chapel in Big Rapids. On February 14, 1982, she married Robert Leach, who preceded her in death on May 27, 2020. Mary Louise is survived by her children, Dr. Tad (Virginia) Kosanovich of Osprey, FL, Keith (Gretta) Kosanovich of Mill Creek, WA, and Dr. Marcia (Tim) Weidner of Wake Forest, NC; five grandchildren, Kyle and Claire Kosanovich, Dillon, Hannah, and Nicholas Weidner; three brothers, Gordon Sauer, Harold (Nancy) Sauer, and Norman (Terry) Sauer; her stepsister Gretchen Fletcher; and many nieces and nephews. Mary Louise was also preceded in death by her brother Warren (Patty) Sauer A Celebration of Mary Louise’s Life will be scheduled for family and friends at a later date.
