With never-ending faith and remarkable strength, Mary Jane Byrnes Lorenzo, 87, formally of Lavallette, passed away peacefully at her home in Brick on Monday, December 26, 2022. Jane was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, whose world revolved around family. She was a lifelong member of the Manasquan River Golf Club and loved to play a round when she could. Jane was a communicant of St. Martha Roman Catholic Church in Point Pleasant. Born and raised in Newark, she lived in West Orange and Lavallette, while enjoying winters in Boca Raton, Florida. She has resided in Brick since 2011. Jane was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Marion Byrnes, by her loving husband, Charles Lorenzo, Sr. in 2017, and by her son-in-law, John DeVincens in 2011. Surviving are her sons and their spouses, Chuck and Patti Lorenzo of Brielle, Jay and Deborah Lorenzo, also of Brielle, and Ken and Susan Lorenzo of Charlottesville, Virginia, and her daughter, Maryrose DeVincens of Manasquan. She also leaves her grandchildren, Stephen and his wife, Erica, Janie, and her fiancé, Colin McDermott, Jacqueline, Jason and his wife, Jacklyn, Alec, Sam, Jake, Katelyn, and Christopher. She will be dearly missed by them all, as well as countless friends. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, January 3, 2022, from 4 to 8 PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A funeral mass will be offered at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 4, 2022 at St. Martha Roman Catholic Church, 3800 Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant. Cremation will be private. Final internment will eventually be at Greenwood Cemetery in Brielle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seton Hall Preparatory High School, 120 Northfield Ave, West Orange, NJ 07052 or to the Gary Sinise Foundation for disabled veterans, P.O.
