Mary’s Obituary Mary M. (Capp) Hackworth, age 92, of Ross Township, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Beloved wife for 68 years of the late E. Donald Hackworth; mother of Janie (late Brian) Costello, Don (Kathy) Hackworth, Jim (Maryann) Hackworth, Janet Hackworth, and Ken (Kristin) Hackworth; grandmother of Kristin Costello, Bethany (Richard) McClean, Justin Costello, Donnie (Jenna) Hackworth, Megan (Jesse) Leax, Erin (Andy) Curran, Chelsea (Scott) McGinn, Eric (Danielle) Hackworth, and Emma Hackworth; great-grandmother of Conor, Lucy, and Liam McClean; Donnie, Lizzy, and Miriam Hackworth; August, Phineas, and Ezra Leax; and Olivia McGinn. Preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters. Family will welcome friends on Wednesday from 1-4pm and 6-8pm at Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., 388 Center Avenue, West View PA 15229. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, St. Athanasius Church. Mary was a longtime parishioner at St. Athanasius Church, where she volunteered countless hours to their different groups. She was the best matriarch and mom anyone could ask for, she always made her family a priority.
