Mary Elizabeth Dragon, passed away on December 10, 2022 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. Born on November 22, 1931 to the late Francis and Sarah (nee: Wilhelm) Hudson. When her children were young Mary worked at the Sacred Heart of Jesus school cafeteria. Years later she went to Keystone Shipping Company where she made many lifelong friends. After retirement Mary traveled with her lady friends, enjoyed playing bingo and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. The one big event Mary looked forward to every year was her Christmas Eve party with her family. Although Mary faced many difficult illnesses throughout her life, she always faced them with remarkable courage. Wife of the late Francis “Frank” Dragon, Sr. Loving mother to Dottie (late Paul) Hludzik, Frankie (Terry) Dragon Jr, Mary (Bill) Scherer and Michael (Jean) Dragon. Dearest Mom Mom to Jennifer (Mike Bilinski) Dragon, Lindsay (Christopher) Matthew, George Clark, Kelly (late Joe) McCusker, Ashley (Carmen) Lerro, Sarah (Alex Sabo) Scherer, Jean (Kevin) Rauch and the late Jimmy Kohn and extended family Roseann (Bob) Cox, Patty (Dave) Rupp, Paul (Tami) Hludzik and “GG” to 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded by her siblings, Micky, Teddy, Agnes, Babes and Jerry. Sadly, she will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Friday morning from 9:30-11am at the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 3rd & Reed St. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am and burial will follow in Fernwood Cemetery. Donations in her memory can be made to St. Jude Research Hospital for Children, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN38105.
