Obituary Mary E. Sample, age 59, of Massillon, and formerly of Jackson Twp., passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center. She was born March 24, 1963, in Ashland, Ohio. Mary was an accountant. She retired from American Electric Power. She was a great lover of animals, and an extremely charitable person. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Mary is survived by son, Chris Cignetti and his fiancĂ©e, Anna Sutton; daughter, Colleen Owen; brothers, Guy (Denise) Sample and Cy (Maryellen) Sample; grandchildren, Hunter Cignetti and Gavin Cignetti; and her mother, Miriam Sample. She was preceded in death by her father, William D. Sample; husband, Charles Cignetti; and infant brother, Gary. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at 4 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home – Jackson Chapel. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2022 prior to the funeral from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
