Martha “Marty”‘s Obituary Martha “Marty” Aline Davis, 75, of Panama City, Florida, was called to heaven on November 2, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones. Marty’s passion was managing a bridal shop for over 30 years. She thoroughly enjoyed assisting brides and young women finding the perfect dress for their big occasion. Her biggest love was her family and enjoyed all of the time that she was able to spend with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially around her pool! Being one of ten children, she enjoyed spending time with her siblings and their families for large family gatherings and their annual sister’s weekend. She will be greatly missed by all that were ever given the opportunity to be in her presence. Marty was born in Houston County, Alabama on July 26, 1947 to the late Paxton B. and Sybil Thomley Turner. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary A. Davis, sister Betty Rice, and brothers Terrell Turner, Roger Turner and Jackie Turner. She is survived by her daughter Michelle Watson Lewis (Tim), son, Chris Watson (Stacy), grandchildren, Preston Lewis (Taylor), Blake Lewis (Destiny), Kearstin Watson and Kaydance Watson and great grandchildren, Sawyer, Ansley, “B” and Lainey (due Feb. 2023). She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Jones (Monroe), Sylvia Holmes (Paul), Monica Long (Darryl), Sheila Bell, Joey Turner; brother, Eddie Turner (Malinda) as well as sister-in-laws Atrice Turner, Gail Turner and Diane Turner and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5 at 11am at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Luther Stanford and Chaise Logan officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 10-11am prior to the service. Interment will follow with a graveside service at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Michael Turner, Michael P. Holmes, Mason Holmes, Rob Jones, and Brady Turner. Honorary pallbearers are Dale Turner, Todd Simpson, Jason Jones, Ollie Schultz, David George and Sam Turner. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in her honor to Susan G. Komen, Breast Cancer Foundation.
