Obituary Martha Ann Steele, of Georgetown Texas passed away peacefully on October 25th, 2022, in her sleep. Martha was born on March 27, 1934, in Pittsburg, Texas to William Boyd and Pearl (Jack) Braudaway and was the fourth of six girls. Martha went to Baylor Nursing School after she graduated from Pittsburg High School, then met her husband Jerry. They moved to Mt. Pleasant where she spent most of her adult life as a nurse for over 30 years. She never met a stranger, had a quick wit along with a great sense of humor. Martha loved caring for others, cooking, reading, gardening, and playing cards or dominos, which she usually won and spending time with her family. Although Martha had many health challenges in the later years of her life including the loss of her sight, she met each one with her faith in God and her determination to adapt and move ahead with enjoying life as best she could. She loved her family, friends and her 12-year-old puppy named Hannah. Martha is survived by her daughter, Jerri Nunnery and husband Freddy; her grandsons; Ryan Youngblood and his wife Jackie and Cody Youngblood; her great grandsons; Ty and Trey Youngblood and Tyler, Jake, Cole and Mason Hauser; and with her sisters Billie Daniel and her husband James and Teresa McKinney and her husband Brady. She also had many nieces and nephews that she loved. Martha was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Steele and her parents, Pearl (Jack) and William Boyd Braudaway and three sisters: Dorothy Bockman, Jo Brison, and Sue Richardson and one nephew, Keith Minchew. A memorial will take place on Sunday, October 30th at the Wesleyan Independent Living Center chapel in Georgetown, TX with a graveside service in Mt. Pleasant at a later date.
