Marjorie Ann Iseler of Maple City, Mich., formerly of Harbor Beach, Mich., died Nov. 25, 2022, at MediLodge of Traverse City, Mich. She was 90 years old. Marjorie was born Sept. 22, 1932, in Harbor Beach to the late Dr. Ralph M. and Burnette R. (Newman) Zellman. She graduated from Harbor Beach High School in 1950, and from the Harper Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse in 1953. She married Donald S. Iseler on June 16, 1956, in Harbor Beach, where she lived most of her life, raised three children, and served the community as a nurse and member of various civic groups. She and Don moved to Maple City in 2002. Don died in 2017. An enthusiastic collector of antiques, carnival glass and other items, Marjorie also enjoyed reading, socializing with friends, and embraced the culture and music of Scotland. She shared her life with a variety of dogs and cats over the years, enjoyed traveling and was the driving force behind many memorable family vacations, including camping trips throughout Michigan and across the country. Marjorie spent 40 years at the Harbor Beach Community Hospital as a nurse, nursing supervisor, medical librarian, and retired in 1995 after five years in the hospital’s utilization department. She is remembered fondly by generations of co-workers. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Harbor Beach and served as its first woman elder, was secretary of the Women’s Club, a Girl Scout leader, and member of the Harbor Beach Hospital Auxiliary, American Legion Post No. 197 Auxiliary, Harbor Beach and Port Hope Senior Citizens, Sand Beach Township Water Board, Jayshees, and was a life member of Eastern Star Ubly Miriam No. 214. Marjorie is survived by her children James S. (Vicki) Iseler of Horton, Mich.; Robert R. (Judy Evola) Iseler of Highland, Mich.; and Catherine R. (Andrew) Anthony of Empire, Mich. Also surviving are grandchildren Shelby L. Iseler, Maxwell J. Iseler, Anthony Anthony and Margaret E. Anthony. She was predeceased by her husband Donald S. Iseler, brother-in-law James E. Iseler, and sister-in-law Dorothy Jeanne Iseler. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be scheduled in Harbor Beach at a later date, with details to be shared later. Interment will be at Rock Falls Cemetery in Sand Beach Township. Arrangements are by Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach and Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Traverse City.
