Obituary Waterbury, CT Maria F. Costa “Beloved mother, sister, aunt & friend” Maria F. Costa, 42, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Hartford Hospital. Maria was born in Serra Azul, Minas Gerais, Brazil on March 24, 1980 a daughter of Gabriel F. da Costa and the late Darcilia S. da Lomba. She worked as a housekeeper in the Waterbury area and was a devoted member of the Strong God Church in Waterbury. She loved her family and cherished spending time with them. Besides her father, Gabriel, of Brazil, Maria leaves behind her four children, Kyle F. Silva, Kevin Costa Campos, Leticia Costa-Silva and Sarah Costa-Meira all of Waterbury, CT. She also leaves seven siblings, Luis, Paulo, Mario, Roberto da Costa, Jose da Silva, Arlete and Marli da Costa all of Brazil, her former husband, Helder Silva and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Arrangements: A funeral service for Maria will be celebrated on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury, CT. Calling hours will be held on Friday evening, December 9, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
