Margie’s Obituary Margie Irene Swinehart, Branson West, MO, daughter of Ernie and Irene (Gilmore) Johnson, was born July 5, 1947, in Kansas City, MO and departed this life on February 15, 2022, at the age of 74. Margie devoted her life to her family, children, and grandchildren. Her second love was her work family and students at West Antioch Elementary School where she was the school secretary over 20 years before finishing her career at Indian Hills Middle School. A lifelong resident of the greater Kansas City Area, Margie moved to the Table Rock Lake with her husband Jerry to begin the next chapter in their life as retirees. Living in Stonebridge Village Margie enjoyed spending her time reading and volunteering to help others though the church. Early in her life Margie was a member of Job’s Daughters and a member of the Prairie Village Presbyterian Church (Kansas City). After moving to Branson, Margie joined St Andrews Presbyterian Church in Kimberling City, MO, where she served as a Deacon and participated with other civic organizations. Margie was preceded in death by her parents Ernie and Irene Johnson. Survivors include: her husband, Jerry Swinehart of Branson West, MO; Son, Scott Lloyd Swinehart and wife, Sonya, of Olathe, KS; daughter, Debbie Fernandez and husband, Vince of Shawnee, KS; three grandchildren, Caleb Swinehart, Jake and Hailey Fernandez; and a many other family and friends. She is also survived by their schnauzer Ernie James, who was the pride of her life for 14 years. No service is planned at this time for Margie.
