Obituary Margaret “Peggy” Mennella was 74 years old when she passed away May 24th. Born in Brooklyn, Peggy was raised in Floral Park, Queens. She would later settle in New Milford, New Jersey where she lived for many years. Peggy served as the Police Records Clerk for the Borough of New Milford Police Department for over 20 years. She enjoyed the time she spent as a volunteer with the Special Olympics and on various functions with New Milford/Teaneck Elks Lodge 2290. Peggy was predeceased by her late husband Robert Mennella in February of 2000. She is survived by her siblings; Bobby McCleary, Jerry Arrighi, Joan Reissig and Mickey LaMarch. Peggy was predeceased by her late brother James Heerey. She is also survived by her brother in law Richard Mennella and his Mary Jane as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and cousins. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in her memory on Saturday, May 28th in the Church of the Ascension, New Milford, at 10am. Burial will follow Old Tappan Cemetery, Old Tappan. Peggy’s family will receive friends in the funeral home on Friday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.
