Obituary Margaret Anne Shavelli of New Milford NJ, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother joined her husband Adem in Heaven on 8/27/22 at age 73 surrounded by her daughter Anne and her favorite music. Born to Thomas and Margaret Higgins, Margaret (Peggy) was a devoted wife to Adem and cared for him throughout their 49-year marriage. Margaret’s love of dance was apparent when she began taking ballroom dance lessons, and she was proud of her accomplishments at dance competitions. She was known for her love of trivia and music and knew many interesting facts about Hollywood stars. She was often thought of as a “lucky charm” because of her luck at winning in Atlantic City or carnivals. Her favorite music included Barry Manilow, Air Supply, and her all-time favorite Michael Feinstein, who she got to know personally. Margaret’s family would like to thank Dr. Karen Lee, along with the amazing medical staff at Valley Hospital, for their compassionate and dedicated care.
