View Tribute Book Magdalene “Maggie” Jowers, age 98 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Monday, November 7, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Union City. Funeral services for Mrs. Jowers will be conducted on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 1:00pm in the chapel of New Concord Baptist Church with Bro. Shawn Allred officiating. Interment will follow in New Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. Maggie was born September 14, 1924, in Lexington, TN; the daughter of the late Leslie & Anna (Hayes) Maness. She sat with the elderly before retirement from Plastec as a factory worker. Maggie was the longest member of New Concord Baptist Church with 70 years. She is survived by her four children, Carlene Meadows (Johnny), Dean Jowers (Regina), Danny Jowers, Kay Meadows; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Maggie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl D. Jowers; daughter, Annie Ruth Eddlemon; and nine siblings. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm – 8:00pm on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the Kenton chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home.
