Louis Charles Wissenbach December 3, 1953 – October 3, 2022 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Louis Charles Wissenbach 68, of San Antonio, FL passed away Monday, October 3, 2022, at his home. He was born December 3, 1953, in Cobleskill, NY to Henry William and Elizabeth Ella Wissenbach. He graduated from Cobleskill High School in 1972 and moved to this area 27 years ago from Tampa. He was a Sargent in the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1975-1981, and was stationed in both Japan and Tampa, Florida. He began his career with the ROLM Corporation prior to their merger with IBM, retiring in 2016. He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed spending time with his family playing his guitar, riding motorcycles and 4 wheelers, fishing, hunting, camping, boating, as well as spending his free time at the fish camp. Every year, he looked forward to the annual trip to the Hunt Camp in Alabama. Louis is survived by his wife Jammie Wisssenbach, whom he married in 2004; his children: Lisa (Chuck), Amisha, Eric (Jessica), David (Danielle) and Zach; 10 grandchildren: Jacob, Charles, Gabriel, Dallas, Elisabeth, Erick, Emberlynn, Athena, Roenin and Stacie; 3 siblings: Sandy Thorington, Joyce Robinson, Henry Wissenbach( Donna); his mother & father-in-law: Carol & Gene Roy; and numerous brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, extended families and his dog Two Chains. He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry & Elizabeth; his sister Frieda Thorington, and his first wife Lauren Beaty Wissenbach. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, October 10, 2022, at the family home in San Antonio. The visitation will begin at 4pm with the Celebration of Life starting at 5pm. Friends are encouraged to reach out to the family for directions. Pastor Brian Butler will be officiating the service. Louis was a kindhearted family man who never said No to anyone when they needed help. He loved his wife deeply and his children unconditionally. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or those that wish may make donations in his memory to either Gulfside Hospice or the Moffitt Cancer Center.
