Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Lottie, 88, passed away in the comfort of her home in Anchorage, Alaska on May 21, 2022. Lottie was born to parents Henry and Emily Winstead, in Nash County, North Carolina, on September 16, 1933. She met her husband James Rose, and they wed on September 7, 1954. They moved to Anchorage in June of 1966 and Lottie worked as the Church Secretary at Calvary Baptist Church. There will be a public visitation on Wednesday, May 25, 11:30am, @ Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 12pm. She will be laid to rest on a later date at Ft. Richardson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Works Alaska, 4149 Checkmate Drive, Anchorage, Alaska 99504. Lottie is survived by her loving husband, James Rose; sons Brent Rose (Vickie), Kent Rose (Nanette), and Craig Rose (Jenny); daughters Denise Rose, Kim Sanders (Bruce), and Tami Higgins (Chris); grandchildren Jason Westwood, Megan Rose, Lori Westwood, Amber Rose, Brady Westwood, Dillon Rose, Andrew Sanders, Adam Sanders, Caleb Sanders, Brandon Rose, Michael Rose, Makayla Rose, and Bradley Cross; and great-grandchildren Alex Harris-Rose, Morgan Westwood, Alyson Rose, Zoe Rose, Ivy Rose, Ella Westwood, Hailey Westwood, Norah Sanders, Jude Sanders, and Hadassah Sanders.
