Huffman, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, at her residence. She was born June 26, 1930, in Danforth, the daughter of Linden and Mildred Kelley. Lorraine grew up in Seldon and graduated from East Grand High School. She married Sidney Sherwood and together they would raise their family. Lorraine worked at the Sears store in Presque Isle for many years, as well as the Mad Hatter. She was also a licensed hospice worker. Lorraine’s faith was very important to here and she was a longtime member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Presque Isle, as well as the Eastern Star. Upon Sidney’s passing in 2005, Lorraine married Durward Huffman, and together they would share many happy years together. She is survived by her husband Durward Huffman of Fort Fairfield, a son Sidney Richard Sherwood and his wife Jerri Anne of Houlton, a daughter Bonnie Hastey of Drews Lake, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lorraine also leaves behind a sister Laura Faulkingham of New York, and a special friend Carol Lamoreau of Mapleton. In addition to her parents, and first husband Sidney, Lorraine was predeceased by three sons: Calvin, Ronald, and Gregory Sherwood. Relatives and friends are invited to call 12pm Monday, October 17, 2022, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, where a service will be conducted at 1pm, with the Rev. Dr. Ken Phelps officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle. The family extends an invitation for relatives and friends to join them for a reception at the Duncan-Graves Reception Room for a time of fellowship and refreshment, following the committal.
