Logan’s Obituary A Celebration of the Life of Logan Carl Holst April 24, 1937 – January 19, 2022 After a nine month battle with cancer, Logan Holst, age 84, was called home by the Lord. He passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 19th, 2022. Logan Carl Holst was born April 24th, 1937 in Plainview, Minnesota to Carl and Ella Holst. He graduated from Plainview High School, where he met his high school sweetheart Dorothy Bany. They were married on June 25, 1960. Logan was a proud Navy veteran where he served aboard the USS Midway. He spent his career as a Meat Department Manager for Red Owl, later becoming a Meat Specialist with SuperValu/Cub Foods. Logan’s favorite place was his cabin on Bone Lake, in Wisconsin, that he proudly built with his sons. He loved spending time with his family and could often be found bragging about how proud he was of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Logan is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; his children Mark (Wendy) Holst of Cave Creek, AZ, Lori (Mike) Wallace of Medina, MN, Jeff (Cheryl) Holst of Prior Lake, MN; grandchildren, Nikki (Ryan), Jessi (Nik), Johnny (Katie), Hannah, Bennet, Jake and Sophia; and great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Beckham, Harper and Leighton; his brother Charlie (Donna) and Allen (Sharm) Holst. He was preceded in death by his father Carl, mother Ella and brothers Norman and Keith. Memorial Service 11:00 AM Friday, January 28th at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 7401 County Road 101, Maple Grove with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
