Obituary Funeral Services for Linda Lou Edwards, age 81, of Gober, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2022 at First Christian Church of Bonham in Bonham, Texas under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Pastor Rick Edwards will officiate. Burial will follow at Gober Cemetery in Gober, Texas. Linda passed away Monday evening, November 21, 2022, at her home in Gober, Texas, lovingly surrounded by family. Linda was born July 15, 1941, in Nevada, Texas, the daughter of William “Onie” Inman and Beaulah Bryant Inman. She graduated from McKinney High School in 1959 and married Clifford Ray Edwards on June 12, 1959, in McKinney, Texas. They were married 60 years prior to his passing. Linda worked as a Human Resources Representative for Fisher Controls for 30 years. After retiring from Fisher, she worked another 20 years part time for Edwards Floral in McKinney, Texas. She enjoyed travelling anywhere, but favored Colorado. Linda adored the fall; the colors of this season brought her much joy. Linda was a longtime member of First Christian Church of Bonham in Bonham, Texas where she was an active member of the CWF and held several church board positions through the years. Linda was a phenomenal cook. Her family especially enjoyed her Yum Yum Chicken. She also made delicious pies. Most of all Linda enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and dearest friends. She will be greatly missed. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and granddaughter, Courtney Farrell. She is survived by son, Kyle Ray Edwards and wife Tracy of Gober, Texas; daughter, Teresa Farrell and husband Jim of Nacogdoches, Texas; sister, Patricia Slate of Mesquite, Texas; grandchildren, Tyler Edwards and wife Hilary, Amanda Edwards Brent and husband Hunter, Megan Edwards Russell and husband Dalton, Blake Farrell and wife Demi, and Morgan Farrell Weaver and husband Frank; Kiana Nemoto and Tara Nemoto; great grandchildren, Emmie Lou Russell, Blakely Brent, Slate Edwards, Landry Edwards, Kamden Weaver, Kayden Ray Weaver, and Charlee Taylor; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends. The family would like to extend an extra special thanks to Linda’s friends Janice and Sandy for all the support they gave to Linda throughout her extended illness. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Bonham, 701 N Main St, Bonham, TX 75418. Pallbearers will be Blake Farrell, Tyler Edwards, Jeff Edwards, Dalton Russell, Hunter Brent, and Frank Weaver. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2022, at First Christian Church of Bonham, in Bonham, Texas. Memorial Donation
