Linda’s Obituary Linda Conley Everhardt, age 75, of Hudson passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Carolina Caring of Catawba County. She was born February 10, 1947 in Caldwell County to the late Hartley Hunt Conley and Lois Griffin Conley. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Joe S. Everhardt and one son, Richard Sumpter. Linda faithfully embodied the Love of God, was dedicated to her church and was very involved in the Food Pantry started by the church. She spent many hours listening to music and reading. She will be remembered for her loyalty and her generous spirit. Linda was devoted to her family and loved her children and grandchildren. Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Renee Sumpter Moriarty and husband Joe of Hudson; two brothers, Larry Conley of Gallatin, Tenn and Roger Conley of Lenoir; six grandchildren, Kaitlin J. Fann, Alec J. Moriarty, James L. Fann and wife Anna, Taylor Sumpter, Jessica Sumpter, and Anna Sumpter; and four great-grandchildren. Memorial Service will be held Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Fairview Presbyterian Church at 4:00 P.M. with Rev. Edyth Potter and Rev. Leah Epps officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
