Lesley Carol Pennington Wiest of Bellmawr, NJ, suddenly passed away at the age of 67, on November 11, 2022 after a long battle with thyroid cancer. Lesley was born in Wilmington, Delaware on August 5th, 1955. She was the daughter of deceased Lorraine Flanegan and Charles J. Pennington Sr. Salem County is where she was raised for the majority of her wonderful life. In 1973, she graduated from Penns Grove High School. Lesley was known as a dedicated person and hard-worker. She was employed with Wire-Pro as a Package Inspector and retired after 35 years of service. The year of 2015, she then pursued an occupation as a Greeter/Asset protection with Wal-Mart for seven years up until her demise. She was pre-deceased by her brother and sisters; Charles J. Pennington Jr., Diana Sinigaglio and Karen Lee Pennington; her parents Charles J. and Lorraine Flanegan Pennington. She is survived by her sisters Sharon Pennington and Jackie Eddis. She leaves to cherish her three children; Kelly Cotto, Robert Wiest Jr, and William Wiest Sr., four grandchildren; Madison Watson, Ismael Cotto III, Kylie Wiest, Kameron Harmon, William Wiest Jr., and one great granddaughter; Savannah Watson. Also, she leaves behind a host of many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In the year of 2015, Lesley moved from Salem County to reside with her beloved daughter Kelly Cotto in Camden County. She had a remarkable relationship with her family, friends, and co-workers. She will mostly be remembered for her sweet personality and generous heart. She was family-oriented, enjoyed attending church, laying out in the sun, taking family trips to the Sportsman’s Club, the beach, the Poconos and getting her hair done at a beauty salon in Pennsville. Also known for spending quality time with her grandchildren such as ice skating, shopping, and game nights. She was a major sponsor for NA members. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A viewing will be held Friday morning, November 18th, 2022, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM with a service to be conducted at Ashcraft Funeral Home 47 State St., Penns Grove, NJ 08069. Service will begin at 11:00AM. The burial will take place at the Lawnside Cemetery 896 NJ-45, Woodstown, NJ 08098.
