Obituary L.C. “Ziggy” Zimmel, 75, formerly of Fair Oaks, died on Veterans Day, Friday November 11, 2022, at home. Born November 23, 1946, Sewickley, he was the son of the late Leroy and Mary J. Flanigan Zimmel. He was a retired Ironworker with Pittsburgh Local #3 and also owned & operated his own cabinet shop in California. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran and a member of Beaver County Vietnam Veterans Chapter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha (Taffy) Zimmel and a brother, David R. Zimmel. Surviving are two daughters, Geniene Zimmel and Erica Zimmel Zetz, both of Aliquippa, three grandchildren, Emmilia Zimmel (Anthony Taylor), Nicholas and Riana Zimmel, two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Wyatt Taylor, one brother and sister-in-law, Martin and Darlene Zimmel, Fair Oaks, one sister, Elaine Zimmel Powell, Cranberry Twp., and also many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday November 13, 2022 from 1:00pm until time of service at 5:00pm, BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge. The family would like to thank Steve and Lisa, from Amedisys Hospice, for the care they gave dad. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Beaver County Humane Society in his name.
