Obituary Lawitzke, Lea J. of Clarkston, formerly of Troy, passed away May 24, 2022 at 79 years of age surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard (Dick) for 54 years; dear mother of Kirk (Barbara) Lawitzke, Darren Lawitzke and Kelly Carpenter (Scott); Nana to Nicholas, Taylor, Tarah, Jack, Cade, Paige, Jayme, Nathan, Dylan and Meghan: Sister of Sandra Richards, Maryjo (Jerry) Missig, Joel (Gloria) Castiglione and Belinda Aiello. Also survived by a loving family of cousins, nieces and nephews. Lea loved sports, especially her beloved Detroit Tigers, and was a regular spectator at her grandchildren’s events. Lea and Dick also traveled regularly down to Florida during winter. She also enjoyed taking family day trips up to the thumb to visit the beach and get ice cream in Grindstone City.
