She was born in Pontiac in 1918 to James and Appolina Day. She graduated from Marlette High School Class of 1936. Laura married Gordon Brown June 24, 1937. Laura was a farmer’s wife and farmed alongside her husband Gordon until his death in 1964. She worked at Marlette Hospital as a Nurse Aid for 17 years. She was a long-time member of the Marlette United Methodist Church. She enjoyed music and played the piano and also liked to read and to crochet. She is survived by her children and Russell (Carol) Brown and Linda (Eric) Gordon, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon and a baby brother. A memorial visitation will be held October 15, 2022 from Noon until 2:00 p.m. at Carman Funeral Home in Brown City. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. October 15, 2022 with burial of the ashes in Evergreen Cemetery.
