Larry Wade McVay, 74, of Danville, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born February 8, 1948, in Virginia, to the late Wade Washington McVay, and Mary Lucille Brinkley McVay Jenkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Marie Crandall McVay. Larry served in the United States Army. He loved music, was a musician, worked on cars, built violins, and had a good sense of humor. Larry is survived by his daughter, Crystal Belinda Rogers (John William); son, Larry Wade McVay, II; sisters, Diane McVay and Bonny Whitaker; brother, Johnny McVay; grandchildren, Santanna Griffin, Austin Wampler, Tegan Rogers, and Mary Rogers; great grandchildren, Marty Cox, and William Cox; niece, Donna Jenkins; nephews, James McVay, Cody Whitaker, Wade McVay, and Johnny McVay; and great-niece, Savannah Davis.
