View Tribute Book Larry Reese Aaron, 81, of Gladewater, TX passed away on November 28, 2022, in Tyler, TX. Larry was born on April 4, 1941 to Marion and Effie Aaron. Larry was a member of First United Methodist for 51 years and served on several church boards. He was a member of the Gladewater Rotary Club and served several terms on the GISD School Board. As a young man, he managed Glade Lanes in Gladewater, TX, and it was there that he met his sweet wife, Loretta. In 1967 he began his lifelong relationship with McKaig Chevrolet as a salesman, advancing to General Manager and eventually taking over its ownership in 1995 until retiring in Dec. 2008. Larry is survived by his precious wife, Loretta Aaron, and their four children; daughter Laura Abernathy and her husband Kent of Gladewater, TX, daughter Lana Snear and her husband Ty of Prosper, TX, daughter Leslie Dorrough and her husband Carl of Longview, TX; and son, Lance Aaron and his wife Michelle of Frisco, TX; brother Wayne Aaron and his wife Teresa of Tyler, TX, and sister June Calow of Tyler, TX. Larry’s legacy continues in the lives of his ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; Aaron Abernathy, Blair Abernathy, Perri Adcock and husband Ben, Luke Snear and wife Beth, Avery Makowski and husband Mak, Sawyer Snear, Ethan Dorrough, Darbi Dorrough, Quaid Dorrough, Reese Aaron, Noah Abernathy, Rori Adcock, Beau Makowski, and Owen Snear. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Effie Aaron, and his sister Marilyn Aaron. A celebration of life will be held at First United Methodist Church on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 11 o’clock in the morning. A private graveside will be held for the family.
