Morgan-Perry went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, Sunday, December 11, 2022. She was 52. Kristen was born in Carbondale, IL to Wm. A Morgan and Virginia L. (Markus) Morgan. She grew up in Herrin and attended OLMC. Kristen worked as a foreign language teacher after graduating Southern Illinois University with honors, where she was the president of her sorority’s chapter. She helped direct the language dept. in the Elmhurst IL school district and the school district for Travis Air Force Base in CA. Kristen began teaching piano while in middle school and played professionally for many years. She was actively involved in music, dance, and theater through much of her life, and recently was serving on the board of Kre8tive, in Herrin. Kristen had an abiding love for Christ, and demonstrated her faith through her love and dedication to her family and many friends. Kristen is survived by her husband, their three children, and her mother. Kristen has many extended family members, whom she loves. She was preceded in death by her father. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to help with this unexpected loss. A celebration of life service will be held at Herrin First Church of God at a future date.
