A celebration of the happy and loving life he lived, will be held at a later date. His request is that all who knew him, share a hug in his memory. He was a “people person” and anyone he met, was not a stranger for long. Kim was born October 29, 1954, in Goodland, Kansas, to Harvey and Lois. He enjoyed his school years, active in many sports and working on the farm. Kim married Linda Lemman on July 19, 1975, in Tribune, Kansas. The beginning of a partnership that remained strong and loving throughout all life’s ups and downs. Kim left the farm life in 1979 but remained a farm boy at heart. Moving to Arkansas City, he began his career as a Firefighter, Paramedic, and later an Arson Investigator. After retirement, he worked part-time with the maintenance crew at Cumbernauld Village in Winfield. His love of people continued there with the residents and staff. In his freetime, he enjoyed coaching youth sports and tinkering with cars. The boys he coached, and men he coached with, held a special place in his heart. His love of old cars and trucks prompted his wife to suggest he post a used auto sign in the front yard. Love of and time with his family was his top priority. With a life well lived, he is survived by his wife; son and daughter-in-law, Kipp and Sonya Voth of Wasilla, Alaska; the highlight of his life, grandchildren, Ike, Ash, Gus, and new granddaughter Wren; son Michael Voth of Arkansas City; son Eric and daughter Destinee of Wichita; siblings, Sherry and husband, Rich Luhring of Gainesville, VA; Deb and husband, Harry Kilpatrick of Aurora, CO; John and wife, Cindy Voth of Sharon Springs, KS; Del and wife, Tina Voth of Rapid City, SD; Cathy and husband, Larry Winter of Reeds Spring, MO; also dear to Kim are his many nieces, nephews, and their children; his friends for a lifetime, the McGrew’s and Critchlow’s. Kim was preceded in death by his parents and cherished eldest son Kasey Allen Voth. Memorials to honor Kim’s memory may be made to the Ark City Youth Football Program or to Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service. Kim’s final message to his friends and family is to live your life well with what you have. Accept and forgive yourself and others.
