Kathleen Sharp Keating, at the age of 73, entered eternal rest peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, December 20, 2022, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Covington, Louisiana on August 12, 1949, to Ola Sharp and Mary Ann King Sharp. She is survived by her loving husband Robert Keating of 30 years, her adoring children Shane Lynch (Jessica) and Marianne Lynch (Chris). Kathy was the proud grandmother of Braden and Briley Lynch and Hendrix Hunt. She was the caring sibling of Linda Richerson (Woody). Kathy will be dearly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends. Kathy was preceded in death by loving parents Ola and Mary Ann Sharp, and her sisters, Ollie Sharp and Dorothy Pellegrin. A native of Covington, and proud resident of the Lee Road community for over 70 years, Kathy graduated from Covington High School. After high school, Kathy truly embraced her lifestyle has a homemaker to her wonderful family. Kathy was loving, compassionate, and most of all a very caring person to all. She enjoyed spending time outdoors sitting on her back porch with family. She also enjoyed shopping and eating dinner at her son Shane’s home with his family. Kathy was well respected and liked and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her spirit and tender nature will remain in the many memories of her cherished friends and family until they meet her again. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington Louisiana on Friday, December 23, 2022, at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until service time.
