Wikane, 74, of Kingston died Thursday December 29, 2022 at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. Born October 31, 1948 in Kingston, he is the son of the late J. Harry and Marie “Minna” Wikane. Karl owned and operated his auto body customs and repair shop in Kingston. Surviving are his brothers John Wikane, Paul Wikane and his wife Gail of Stone Ridge, Mark Wikane and his wife Janet of Stone Ridge, step grandsons Zachary and Matthew Whitaker of Saugerties. One niece and three nephews also survive. Besides his parents, Karl’s longtime companion Jaimee Hasbrouck and a brother Christopher Wikane predeceased him. Services will be held privately.
