Karen Sanchez Karen Sanchez, 60, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on October 26, 2022, in Beaumont, Texas. Memorial gathering will be held on Saturday February 4, 2023, at 7:00PM, at The Art Studio, Inc., 720 Franklin St. Beaumont, Texas 77701. Born in Beaumont, Texas, on August 19, 1962, she was the youngest child of Joe M. Sanches and Bettye Jean Click Sanches. Karen Lynn was a 1981 graduate of Beaumont-Charlton Pollard. Through her high school art classes, her love of painting started to grow. She took numerous classes with Beaumont Artist, Alfred Gaytan. Through the years, she found her style that included expressionist, abstract and modernist painting. After her illness started robbing her of ability to control her paintbrushes, she used her fingers, knuckles, and hands to paint some of her best art. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe M. Sanches, and Bettye Jean Click Sanches; stepmom Ann Sanches; brother Joe D. Sanchez; and nephew Nicholas “Nick” Mercuri. She is survived by her sister Sharon Marie Sanchez of Houston, Texas, nephew Jeremy M. Justice (Atifa) of Atascocita, Texas, niece Kristin Morrison (Robert) of Weatherford, Texas, great nieces Taylor M. Justice and Yazmin E. Justice of Atacocita, Texas and numerous family members. The family of Karen Lynn would like to thank her caregiver of 22 years, Marva “Muggy” Ruben Parkerson for her wonderful caring, unwaver patience and love for her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Art Studio.org
