Judy D. Carey, 78, of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022 in the Chambersburg Hospital. She was born Sunday, September 26, 1943 in Flintstone, Allegheny County, Maryland. Judy was a daughter of the late Roy S. and Mattie Mae (Whorton) Fletcher. Judy retired from Knouse Foods, where she worked for 49 years. She was a member of the Branch Creek Place (Shippensburg Senior Citizens Center). Judy enjoyed playing bingo and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Charles E. Carey; two children, Lisa Vaughn of Chambersburg and Michael Carey of Sanford, FL; three grandchildren, Spencer, Elaina, and Rebekah; four great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Brendon, Braxton, and Kyran; three siblings, Paul Fletcher of Flintstone, MD, Regina McCusker of Hancock, MD, and Viola Robbison of Artemis, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
