Obituary Judith Ann Leischner, 82, of Versailles, died Monday, April 18, 2022, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy. She was born July 24, 1939, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Willie H. and Bessie M. Alcorn Cooper. She married Charles Leischner on November 26, 1961, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arenzville and he survives. Judy is also survived by one son, Henry (Karrie Jennings) Leischner of Jacksonville, two granddaughters, Burlie (Dominic) Schmillen of Sherman and Bailie (James) Herchenbach of Palatine; two great-grandchildren, Sampson and Maverick Schmillen, and Karrie’s daughter, Emily Jarvis of Jacksonville. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Passavant Hospital in Jacksonville from 1961 until the time of her passing. While in high school, she had worked at Woolworth’s on the square in Jacksonville. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Arenzville. Judy enjoyed antiquing, collecting cookbooks, Sudoku, and especially enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren and family. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arenzville, with burial at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Jacksonville. The family will meet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Williamson Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the family to be put towards her great-grandchildren’s education.
