Joyce Elaine Marshall, age 76, of Pocomoke, passed away on Friday November 4, 2022, at Tidal Health Peninsula Regional. She was born on December 15, 1945 in Salisbury, MD to the late Edward and Edna Pettit. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her first husband Randy Whitehead, and her second husband Paul Marshall. Joyce was an avid churchgoer, she attended Glad Tidings Assembly of God and became a part of the woman’s ministry. Joyce loved to help people that is why she became a GNA. Joyce worked at Hartley Hall nursing home for over ten years, she then went to work for Manokin Manor for ten more years. Joyce was very family oriented, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her great grandchild. Joyce also had a love and compassion for animals especially when it came to horses. Joyce is survived by a son, Tracy Whitehead (Darlene) of Pocomoke, MD, a daughter Tanya Crockett of Pocomoke, MD, 4 grandchildren, Candi Conner (Jonathan) of Chincoteague, VA, Brittany Whitehead of Pocomoke, MD, Marissa Donaway of Pocomoke, MD, and Randy Crockett of Pocomoke, MD; one Great grandchild Jace Conner of Chincoteague, VA, one brother Edward Pettit of Pocomoke, MD, one niece Leah McGee of Pocomoke, MD, one nephew Stephen Pettit of Pocomoke, MD, and one great niece Lucy Pettit of Pocomoke, MD. Joyce leaves behind many friends that will greatly miss her. Funeral Services will be held at Holloway Funeral Home in Pocomoke with Pastor Bob Blevins officiating on Friday November 25, 2022, at 10am. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
