HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Joseph R. Bosan, Jr., 67, an area resident since 1986, died on January 26, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He previously lived in Yonkers. Born in the Bronx on December 22, 1954, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph and Emily (Kubinec) Bosan. He recently retired as Operations Manager from General Reinsurance Corporation in Stamford, CT after 36 years of service. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Joseph especially enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a proud member of the Whortekill Rod and Gun Club. He liked riding his motorcycle and going out to dinner. Most of all, his family came first and he loved them dearly. On September 29, 1984 at Immaculate Conception Church in Eastchester, Joseph married Janice R. (Piekarz) Bosan who survives at home. He is also survived by his twin daughters, Lindsay Bosan of Hopewell Junction and Amanda Bosan and her boyfriend Anthony Cavaliere of Hopewell Junction; his brothers, Paul Bosan of Verbank, Steven Bosan and his wife Diane of Eastchester, and Brian Bosan and his wife Ellen of Hopewell Junction; his nieces and nephews, Joseph, Jesse, Robert, Elizabeth, Jeannie and John; and his mastiff, Cooper Dog. In addition to his parents, Joseph was also predeceased by his brother, Robert L. Bosan. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at Ferncliff Cemetery.
