Obituary Joseph (Jose) Ortiz passed away peacefully at home on October 8, 2022. Joe spoke his mind always; he liked WWE Wrestling and NASCAR racing, and going to Goodwill to collect everything. He also liked McBride Races and in his early years, he liked the bars. He retired from Federal Mogul in Greenville. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Jovita Ortiz; brother, Johnny; sister, Rocky; and granddaughter, Kelsie Henning. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Laura Ortiz of Ionia; children, Anthony Ortiz of Belding and Laurie (Damien) Fockler of Ionia; also children, Jessica (Bruce) Randall and Douglas (Tonya) Cook; siblings, Dick Ortiz of Greenville, Dennis Ortiz of Greenville, Judy Davis of Belding, and Joann (Eddy) Abbot of Baldwin; 8 grandchildren, Vinnie Montegna of Ionia, Alex Randall of Ionia, Jacob and Hannah Darby of Saranac, James and Ashley Daly of Ionia, Joseph Rushford of Ionia, Autumn Rushford of Grand Rapids, Tiffany Rushford of Belding, and Jadan Cook of Ionia; and two great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Noah Johnson.
