Visitation will begin on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and will resume Friday from 9:00 A.M. until time of service. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Pastor Francis Plaisance will officiate the service. John Walter Mire, Sr. was born on January 22, 1965 and passed away on November 5, 2022 at 12:48 A.M. at Abbeville General Hospital. John enjoyed being a D.J. and working on computers in his spare time. He loved his children and grandchildren and family. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Jennifer Bahwell Mire; his daughter Katie Lynn Mallett and her husband Austin; four sons: John Mire, Jr.; Cody Mire and his wife Brittany; Ryan J. Mire and Seth Mire; six grandchildren: Kyler Sonnier, Journee Duhon, Evie Mallett, Sienna Mallett, Genesis Mallett and Granger Mire; his mother-in-law Darlene Guillory and Steve; his father-in-law Richard Bahwell and Brenda; sister-in-law Kimberly Maturin and husband Gordy and Brenda Gremillion and husband David; brother Rickey Menard and Pat; sisters: Glenda, Margretta and Gracie Frederick and numerous nieces and nephews and best friends: Devan Daigle, Torie Fish and her husband Nick and Brady Daigle and his wife Carissa and Ramie Bourque. He was preceded in death by his mother Stella Mire Menard, father Walter Frederick; his step-father Marvin (Man) Richardson; maternal grandmother and grandfather, paternal grandmother and grandfather and numerous aunts , uncles and also brothers.
