Funeral Service for John Webster Brewer (Big John, JB, Johnny), age 77, of Eastlake, will be 4:00 PM at the Jakubs-Waite Funeral Home, 36000 Lakeshore Blvd, Eastlake, where family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of service. Mark Hord of Eastlake Baptist Church will officiate the services. Interment will be private. John was born in Morgantown, WV on May 28, 1944, to Fred and Lucy (nee Webster) Brewer and was raised in PA. John went home to be with our Lord on May 3, 2022. He graduated from Albert Gallatin Senior High School in 1963 as a FFA student. John married Janice Danley and had one son John Webster Brewer, Jr., after school he worked various jobs until he went to work at General Electric Miniature Lamp Division on 45th Street in Cleveland as a machinist while going to school to be a tool and die maker. He retired after 25 years only to join the Eastlake Fire Department in 1980 as a fireman, EMT, on the Dive and Rescue Team, and certified to teach CPR and other duties. He retired in 2004. He loved to fish, bowl, play softball, camping and traveling and coached little league, but he loved his gardening. He took his grandkids and his dogs Misty, Boomer and Skeeter on several vacations. John joined the Eastlake Baptist Church after being baptized some 30 + years ago. He was a trustee and taught adult Sunday School and Youth Group when needed. He leaves many good friends to carry on at Eastlake Baptist Church. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years, Janice; his loving son John Jr. (Denise); cherished grandchildren Christina and Nicole; great grandchildren Addison and Vincent; sister, Marcine Stephancin, sister-in-law, Ginnie Brewer, brother-in-law John (Thea) Sikora, and sister-in-law Jenny Sikora along with many nieces and nephews.
