John Samuel Rose, age 68 of Edina, MN passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, November 25th, 2022, after a 3-year battle with MSA (Multiple System Atrophy). He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Lois Rose, brother Richard Rose and twin brother James Rose. He is survived by his loving wife, Colleen (of 30 years), stepsons Doug and Joe, sister Carol Premack (Budd), his fuzzy companions, Tabby and Cricket, nephews Jacob (Jordan), Benjamin, David, Alex (Katie), niece Emily (Josh), Aunt Suzanne Weil, cousins and in-laws, Joan (Mary), Terry and David. John, beloved husband, stepfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law and friend, was a quiet, gentle, wonderful and caring person. He loved playing basketball with his good friends at the JCC and enjoyed watching all sports, especially his alma mater, the U of M Golden Gophers. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and neighbors. A Celebration of Life visiting time will be at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church of Edina, 500 Blake Road So., Edina 55343, Thursday, December 1st, 2022 from 1:00p to 4:00p. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor’s favorite charity.
