John Howard Turnipseed was born September 10, 1963, to Johnnie Pearl Gibson and John Harris Turnipseed who are deceased. His stepfather Amos Gibson also deceased. John departed this world on November 8, 2022. He was born in Greenville, MS, but later moved to Ridgeland, MS and then Cumming, GA, which is final resting place. He is survived by his wife, Shelia Turnipseed, their two children, Johnnetta Nicole Turnipseed and George Edward Turnipseed. He is also survived by his six brothers and two sisters, Terrence Edward Turnipseed (Diane), Lolethia Turnipseed (Carl), Leo Spencer Turnipseed (Earnestine), LaRoy Turnipseed, LaDonna Turnipseed (Patrick Allen), Lemuel Turnipseed (Kristi), LeManuel Turnipseed (Lakeitha) and Kyle Gibson. He is also survived by a host of wonderful Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. John was beloved by all he met. He was known for his excellent cooking. He was also an outdoorsman. He embodied joy and the love he had for his family and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday November 19, 2022 at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM prior to the service. Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Ave., Cumming, GA 30004 in charge of arrangements.
