Joan E Derascavage Joan E Derascavage of Cherry Hill NJ, age 90, peacefully passed at her residence of 50 years.on December 18, 2022. Joan was born in Pennsylvania on January 21, 1932. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Derascavage. Loving mother to David A Derascavage of Maryland (Wife – Luisa Derascavage), the late Daniel J Derascavage and Debra J Derascavage Cannizzaro (Patrick McElroy). She was preceded by her sibling Daniel Shamanski and Mother Alvina Shamanski and Father Walter Shamanski. Joan was a wonderful mother and homemaker. The bond of the family was very important to her and she loved family gatherings. During the holidays she loved to bake for everyone. Joseph was a Lt. Colonel in the Airforce for 25 years and during that time Joan kept the family together with her courage and strength. She loved helping others and treating them as family. She loved gardening and roses. She will surely be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers (which she loved); the family suggests donations to Samaritan (Hospice Care) – samaritannj.org. A Service will be held at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, 2398 West Marlton Pike (Rt. 70) Cherry Hill, NJ on January 7, 2023 at 11am.
