View Tribute Book JIMMY LEE DEEL, 71 years of age of the Peeled Poplar section of Hurley, VA, passed away Monday, December 26, 2022, at the Pikeville Medical Center following an extended illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late John Henry and Pansy (Robinson) Deel. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County, was a disabled coal miner, and enjoyed bowling and fishing. Jimmy served in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Brothers: Tommy Joe Deel, Paul Deel and Donnie Deel; Daughter: Kimberly Deel. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Scotty Deel and Robin Deel Catterson; Companion of 20-years, Judith F. Justus; Brothers: Timmy Deel of Grundy, VA, Ricky Deel of Grundy, VA, David Deel of Grundy, VA. Visitation will be conducted Saturday, December 31, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with cremation to follow.
