Jessie Ronnie Elkins, age 78, of Mooresburg, passed away on October 27, 2022 at his residence. Ronnie was born May, 3, 1944, a son of the late Harold Elkins and Maggie Price Elkins. He was a Deacon and active member of the River View Missionary Baptist Church. Ronnie was also a member of Tate Springs Lodge #338 F&AM. He worked as a carpenter and cement finisher for Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Ronnie was a loving husband, father, and brother. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mark Ronald Elkins; sister, Patsy Ann Roberts; and brother, Harold Elkins Jr. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Maness Elkins; daughter, Clarrissa Mitzy Elkins; brother, James F. Elkins; and sister, Marjorie L. Lawson. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Christian Sells Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mark Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens. Online condolences may be sent at www.christiansells.com.
