View Tribute Book Janet Lynn Mercer, 70, of Cortland, Ohio passed on Friday, November 18, 2022 in Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. She was born on September 23, 1952 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Melvin W. and Evelyn Houser Shook. Janet was a homemaker and had been employed by Giant Eagle. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching wildlife, four wheeling and spending time with her dog, Teddy. Memories of Janet will be cherished by her loving family, her husband, Joe Mercer; her children, Jodi Mercer and Jay Mercer, both of Warren; her six grandchildren; her three great grandchildren; her sister, Wendy Spencer of Philadelphia and Gayle Bowen of Poland, Ohio; and her brother, Thomas Shook of Struthers, Ohio. Janet was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Goist; her father, Wayne Shook; her son, Jerry L. Mercer and her brother, Billy. A service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Bristolville Christian Harbor Church, 1787 Housel Craft Road, Bristolville, Ohio 44402.
